ComRAD Program (Community Recreation for Adults with Disabilities)

This is a recreation based program for adults with developmental challenges, provided in a welcoming facility and an environment of diversity.

Goals of the program are to promote fun, enjoyment, independence, productivity, social inclusion and relationship building.  We strive to enhance the physical, emotional, psychological and social well-being of our participants.

THIS IS NOT A DROP-IN PROGRAM - participants  need to be assessed to determine program suitability and those interested need to meet with the Director of Programs & Services  prior to participation.

Program Schedule

Tuesdays & Thursdays
9:00am - 11:00am COFFEE & CRAFTS - Participants explore a variety of crafts in a high social atmosphere.  Each craft session consists of a 'coffee and conversation' segmen
11:00am - 12:00pm
RECREATION FUN - A recreation program provided in the gym (or outside weather permitting), which may consist of parachute games, badminton, basketball, co-operative games, dancing, special events, etc.
1:00pm - 2:00pm
LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM - Informal education program addressing daily activities (ie. hygiene, dental care, leisure counseling, safety, cooking, music, games, etc.).


Fee Structure (Subject to HST)
Coffee & Crafts Daily Rate (one visit) $7.25 + tax
Coffee & Crafts Punchcard (10 visits) $72.50 + tax
Recreation Fun/Lifeskills Daily Rate (one visit) $3.65 + tax
Recreation Fun/Lifeskills Punchcard
(10 visits)

**Fee increases COULD be effective January 1st, 2019**
